About  the Winemaker

The Domaine de l'Amauve is a ten-hectares family business located on the Séguret territory (84, France).

The productions of the domaine are primarily red and white wines from the appellations  “Côtes du Rhône Villages Séguret”. Since 2008, the estate is also producing a small cuvée from the IGP Vin de Pays de Vaucluse.

With the Domaine de l'Amauve, the signature of the vine grower is present everywhere, through the mode of control of the vineyard, the methods of wine making, the work and the ageing of the wines. Everything is done at every moment to work out a wine of great quality in the respect of nature and environment.

Monique, Nicolas and Christian form a close-knit family, living closely in contact with nature and who transfer their yearnings for a sustainable farming to the way of working of their business/domaine. Their wish through their wine is to share a delicate balance of serenity, sensitivity and passion.

Oenologist, Christian has a passion for the vine and the wine. He is a man who knows that to make great wines, you need to do at first a great work in the vineyard. He has been the Maître de Chais in Château Mont-Redon at Châteauneuf du Pape for 24 years. He has been  in charge as General Manager of Château La Nerthe in châteauneuf du Pape, Prieuré de Montézargues in Tavel, and Domaine de La Renjarde in Sérignan du Comtat for 8 years. He is now exclusively taking care of his family estate, the Domaine de l'Amauve.
